International Earth Day – 20 March 2021

International Earth Day is celebrated annually on the Vernal Equinox, which falls on March 20th. This day is bringing nearly perfect balance of daytime and nighttime all around the world. International Earth Day was established in 1970, to celebrate the miracle of life on planet and the deep and enduring desire of people around the world for Peace and Harmony, Balance.World Earth Day is celebrated also on April 22.

International Earth Day on March 20 should not be confused with the Earth Day on April 22. World Earth Day II started as a day to raise public awareness about the sustainable problems of the Planet. While the celebration on March 20 focuses on solidarity, collectivity and peace on Earth, a time of serenity in which people can put aside their differences and aim on the common need, to preserve the planet’s resources.

As nations around the globe come together to celebrate the Earth and establish new ways of preserving the planet, it is a good time for the small changes. Either individually in our daily lives by saving water and recycling or by taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees or in our work lives by ensuring our businesses’ environmental compliance. We can make our world a happier, healthier place to live. We can make earth more sustainable for future generations.
